Middle School Athletics Update – Changes in Procedures as of 1/4/21
In an attempt to help minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Hall County School District has adopted a two ticket per participant policy rule for extracurricular activities until further notice. Because of this new policy, the following procedures will now occur for West Hall Middle School extracurricular activities:
1. West Hall Middle will no longer use GoFan for ticket purchases. The $3 admission will be taken at the gate.
2. A copy of each teams’ roster will be at the gate.
a. Spectators will tell the gate staff the participant they are there to see.
b. The gate staff will mark off the number of spectators for that participant, with a maximum of two allowed.
c. School age children count towards the two ticket maximum, while those not of school age do not.
d. Ticket allowances not used by a participant cannot be used by others.
3. Golden passes will be accepted, but will also count as one of the two ticket allowances.
4. HCSD employee badges are only allowed if the spectator is there for a specific participant and will count as one of the allowances for that participant.
While not ideal, please understand that these new policies are being enacted in order for us to complete our winter sports season.

Guidelines require that a student pass 70% of all course work in the semester preceding eligibility. Therefore, a student must have passed either 5 out of 6 courses for a six period day or 5 of 7 for a 7 period day. Students must also have a current physical in order to participate (See attached physical forms under "DragonFly and Pre-Particiaption Forms"). Participation in football and cheerleading is open to 7th and 8th grade students only. Sports such as basketball, soccer, and track are open to 7th and 8th grade students. However, 6th grade students can participate in these sports if there is a low number of participants from 7th and 8th grade. Cross country and wrestling are open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students.
Please see links below regarding student accident insurance.
